Alan Zheng

Factory Director

Alan Zheng is a ‘leader’ in production and process management. With Master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Chemical Engineering, Alan has gained second to none experience in all areas of factory operation, from supplier development to customized product trial production and mass production. Alan is familiar with the production operation and management of chemical enterprises with over 15 years of experience as Senior Project Lead, Operational Excellence Head and Production and Quality Managerial roles in Asia and Australia.
Alan joined Uniasia China in 2015 and worked as Process Excellence Lead and Factory Manager in China and then moved to Australia in 2017 to lead the entire UA Holdings Factory building up project.

Dianne Tong

Head of Research and Development

Dianne has spent the past 19 years of her career at Johnson & Johnson, where in her most recent role she held the position of Head of Product and Process Design and Life Cycle Management (Skin Health R&D) based in Singapore.

Dianne joined Johnson & Johnson Pacific (Sydney) as an R&D Scientist with the Skincare Product Development team and has worked in R&D roles with increasing responsibility in Sydney (Australia), Shanghai (China), Skillman (US) and Singapore.Dianne established R&D Centres in both Shanghai and Singapore.She has led the formulation design across the brands of Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, Johnson’s and RoC, including the development of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost range where she was awarded the Johnson Medal – the highest award given for Research and Development at Johnson & Johnson.Following the Johnson & Johnson acquisition of Vogue International, Dianne was the Asia-Pacific R&D Leader for the OGX and Maui Moisture haircare brands.
Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Dianne was the Quality Coordinator & Chemist at DiverseyLever (Unilever Industrial Division), where she was responsible for the ISO quality systems, internal audits, cost improvement projects and quality control.

Dianne is passionate with developing technical talent and mentoring young scientists.She was a strong advocate for Women’s Leadership Initiatives (WLI) and WiSTEM2D initiatives in Johnson & Johnson.

Shima Aghdam

Business Development Director

Shima has over 18 years of expertise in the personal care and cosmetics industry. Holding a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tehran, Shima has gained valuable experience in the beauty industry when she worked as R&D Manager at Greencare Australia, Marketing Manager at Oriflame (Sweden), additionally holding senior positions with BWX. Shima has becoming one of the few true all-rounders in the beauty industry, gaining all aspects of experience in product development. She has helped to develop more than 300 new products in her working career.

Shima specializes in “manipulating” formulations, ingredients and packaging. Her core capability is to help brands with product development by creating concepts utilising new and innovative ingredients to creative packaging. She has built valuable relationships with key local and international raw material and packaging suppliers.
